Free Songwriting Program for Teens (Ages 12–18)

Many teens don’t have access to safe creative spaces.
This free songwriting program gives youth a chance to express themselves, build confidence, and connect with mentors and peers who support their growth.
Through guided sessions, students learn how to turn their thoughts and experiences into original music.
• Confidence expressing their ideas
• Creative writing and storytelling skills

• Collaboration with other students
• A completed original song by the end of the program
Format: Live sessions
Length: Four-week program
Who it’s for: Youth ages 12–17
Cost: Free for participating families
Equipment needed: Phone, tablet, or computer with internet and headphones
Priority is given to youth from low-income families in North County San Diego.
Our instructors and mentors create a structured, positive space where teens feel respected, encouraged, and heard.
We focus on creativity, confidence, and personal growth, not perfection.
